BLACK AND WHITE

On this very chilly but beautiful Sunday afternoon, I decided to pull out this beautiful Nanette Lepore coat that is at least 15 years old.  So many times you read that if you haven't worn something for 1 or 2 years or even 6 months that you should sell it or donate it to make room for other things.  There have been several times over the last few years that I have listened to that advice and have regretted it.  I have decided that if I still love something, even if I haven't worn it for several years; I am going to keep it.  This coat is the perfect example!  It was so cold yesterday and I needed the warmth of this beautiful coat!  It is my goal in the month of April to wear some of the things that I still love that have been hanging in my closet for a long time.  Most of us pull out the same things and wear them over and over again.  In a way, making the commitment to wear more of my clothes is stressful but exciting at the same time.  It will be a creative process that I hope you will join me for! This coat makes the statement so I kept the accessories simple and added leather leggings and booties.

I really wanted to drive my little convertible with the top down, but in the end it was just too cold for me.  I'm ready for a tropical vacation!

The outfit below is so simple and easy!  Sometimes I complicate and overthink when simple is really best!  I added a sparkly necklace to black jeans and a white blouse and the red shoes added a pop of color and interest!
