OUR NIGHT AT THE EDDY IN SAXAPAHAW!

Last night, Rebecca, Sarah and I got together with my sister Catherine and nephew Jacob to have dinner at The Eddy Pub.  The Eddy Pub is a "pub style" restaurant in the small community of Saxapahaw North Carolina.  When you walk in the door of The Eddy, you immediately feel at home.  The menu features food from local farms, many of them just down the road.  The food never disappoints and is as beautiful as it is delicious!

The patio of The Eddy overlooks the Haw River and is a great place to have brunch or watch the sun set while having dinner.  We had so much fun spending time together last night!

The Eddy Pub's Coat of Arms was "designed using area elements to represent purpose, place prosperity and security".

We had such a hard time deciding what to order!  The waiter had to come back three different times because we couldn't make up our minds.  The salad below is a tomato and peach salad with peppers, basil, balsamic vinegar over ricotta cheese.  I almost licked my plate!  The combination of the peaches and tomatoes is unexpectedly delicious!

Fish tacos...Yum!

The broth in the mussels was so rich and wonderful!  I tried really hard not to eat all of the bread, but it was so good with the broth!

The Eddy has the best homemade pretzels!

The patina of this copper beer menu is so beautiful.  The beers are all North Carolina beers and they "emphasize draft beer to reduce recycling burdens"!
