IT IS HOT IN NASHVILLE!

Yesterday was so hot in Nashville!  We really picked the wrong day to go to the Farmer's Market and Bicentennial Park but we made the most of it!  Our first stop was Bicentennial Park and it is such a beautiful park with the view of the Governor's Mansion and the skyline of downtown.  We didn't stay too long because we were melting, but hopefully we'll get to go back on another trip!  After Bicentennial Park, we went to the Farmer's Market which is right across the street.  It wasn't much cooler there, but it is such a huge wonderful farmer's market.  Inside is a food court with every kind of food you can imagine from Indian to good old Southern comfort food.  We decided not to eat there because it was so hot inside and that was our first mistake!  We had no idea where to go, but a very kind lady offered to give us a ride to downtown because there are so many restaurants there.  Unfortunately,  just not my kind of restaurant.  I don't much like touristy places and that was about it downtown.  Sarah was getting very hangry and we were both dripping with sweat when we came upon The Southern.  It was cool inside and we were able to have a nice lunch and rest from all the walking and heat!  We sat at the bar and I had really tasty raw oysters and it was perfect!

Jamie Nashville was just a short cab ride away and a place that we've been wanting to go!  Jamie is a boutique shopping experience and they were having a great sale!  There is also a hair salon in the back and they just happened to have time for two blowouts!  After our hair was done, we were refreshed and ready for shopping.  We found some great deals and I made a wish list...Chloe bag, Chloe bag, Chloe bag!  After Jamie it was back to the hotel to get ready for dinner.  Nashville seems to be a very casual city and that works well when the temperature is nearly 100%!  We snapped some pictures, met Will, and headed to Moto for dinner!  It was the perfect ending to the day!  Does it sound like all we've done is eat?  It's starting to feel that way so I guess it's back to boot camp for me as soon as I get back to Burlington!

Read the ingredients in the Summer Shrimp and Grits below!  Sounds so delicious that I am going to try to recreate it when I'm home!

I am loving this Michael Stars top (similar and on sale here)!  It will be great going into fall with jeans and booties.  Pairing it with my Rebecca Minkoff bag and Chloe Espadrilles made it feel a little dressier for dinner.

The bar at Moto!  We had a great table with a view of outside and the bar!  The food was so good and were having so much fun that I completely forgot to take pictures of our entrees!  I guess that's not such a bad thing!  I did get a shot of Sarah's pizza and dessert!

Today is our last day in Nashville and we plan on going to the rooftop pool here and maybe seeing the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum!  Anything to stay cool because it's going to be another hot day!
