PHOTO SHOOT FOR REBECCALEIGHSMITH.COM

This morning our great friend and photographer extraordinaire, Darrell Coble came over to take pictures of Rebecca's dishes for her website, Rebecca Leigh Smith.  While Darrell was taking pictures for the website, I took pictures of the photoshoot.  We set up a table in the backyard in the early morning so that the light was perfect.  The setting was very natural and Rebecca kept the look of the table neutral to compliment the dishes.  The table used was made as a gift made for me by my Father many years ago and the handmade element of the table and the dishes gave a sense of sentimentality to the morning.

We set the table with an antique linen table runner and used silver flatware which was a nice contrast to the rustic dishes.  The napkins were antique dish towels that were simply folded under the dishes.  The floral arrangements were simple, white roses in ball jars with greenery and hydrangea from the yard.

The setting had a romantic feel that was casual and a little rustic.  I only wish that we could have sat down to the table afterward for a wonderful breakfast!  We'll think of that next time...
