I don't even remember how I stumbled upon the Create and Cultivate website, but the minute I read about the Create and Cultivate conference, I knew that it was something I wanted to be a part of! It did not disappoint. I learned so many things that will help me to be a better blogger, but also a better business women in general. I think the inspiration that I felt being surrounded by 600 women in addition to panel upon panel of successful bloggers and influencers, not to mention Gloria Steinem was the best part. I have so many ideas swimming around in my head that I don't know where to begin, but I know that I'm ready to go big!
I stayed at the Redbury hotel which is located in East Village. It is a trendy and fun hotel and unfortunately I didn't have much time to spend there. I did have an excellent snack in the bar on the night I got there!
One thing that I loved about the Create and Cultivate conference was learning about new businesses. Pop up shops were everywhere and they all had fun gifts and samples for us to try! I had never tried a Jamba Juice smoothie, but they were delicious!
The panelists spoke about topics from blogging to social media. My most important take away from listening to every single one of them was to be authentic. It doesn't matter how beautiful my blog is or how great my outfits and food are if I'm not reflecting myself through the words I write. I hope that everyone that reads my blog feels that I am being authentic. That has been important to me from the beginning.

These fabulous clogs worn by Aurora James are made by her company Brother Vellies. Brother Veilles was founded by Aurora James. Her goal was to introduce traditional African footwear to the world while creating artisanal jobs in Africa. The shoes are handmade in South Africa, Ethiopia, Kenya and Morocco. There are so many styles to choose from on the website and you can check them out here!
Kendra Scott had an amazing pop-up shop inside an Air Stream Camper. There were so many people that I never was able to get a good picture. I love the necklace in the first picture. It really dresses up a white tee!
The highlight of the day was hearing Gloria Steinem speak. At 83 years old, she is still such an inspiration and an advocate for women!
I'm know that my pictures could never begin to portray what a wonderful and inspirational weekend I had. I had a crazy time getting there, but that's a story for another day!
