What's Your Summer Style?

In the midst of staying home, we're still finding ways to celebrate fashion — so we're saying cheers to summer style and dressing up more now because it’s officially summer! So, if you’re like me and love summer and summer clothes, and you’re interested in wearing some of the best new looks for summer, you’ve come to the right place! My casual looks are perfect for wine on the porch, a backyard barbecue, or even a stroll around the neighborhood. These looks are cool, uncomplicated and ready to wear!

“It’s a sure sign of summer if the chair gets up when you do.”

“It’s a smile, it’s a kiss, it’s a sip of wine…it’s summertime!”

The jumpsuit I’m wearing above is one of my favorite finds this summer! Because it’s linen, it has such an elegant, expensive look, but for a really great price! My vintage bag is from Kate Spade and I’ve had it for years, but for some reason I’ve never worn it very often. It’s been in the thrift store bag several times, but I’ve never been able to part with it, and I’m so glad that I didn’t! because green is huge this season and I have so many things that go with it now! I’ve been trying to pull out some classic summer pieces from my closet that I still love and pair them with new items…I think it makes my outfits more interesting! My sandals are really old as well from Stuart Weitzman and if I could find another pair I would snap them up in a minute! I’m linking lots of similar jumpsuits below!

“Summer please slow down, you’re passing too quickly and I’m going to miss the days at the pool, the sound of the crickets, sun dresses, flip flops, snow cones and sun kissed cheeks.”

I was clearly in the mood to stand out in this outfit! Another cute jumpsuit, but definitely very different! This one is made of cotton, it’s stretchy, comfortable and more casual, but every bit as cute! Baldy gave me the pink Tory Burch bag for my birthday, my shoes are Marc Fisher and the sunglasses add just an extra touch of funk. Jumpsuits (see below) make life easy, because they’re one and done…

You don’t get any more classic than skinny jeans and a blazer. I’ve had this lightweight blazer from Mango for several seasons and wear it right up into early fall. Everyone needs a stack of white tee shirts and a pair of leopard mules…they are staples that go with everything! My Julie Miles Cross adds lots of oomph to an outfit that might otherwise be a little predictable!!

"It is easy to forget now, how effervescent and free we all felt that summer."

If you don’t own a little black dress for summer that will take you into the fall when paired with a denim jacket, then I highly recommend you get one ASAP! You will not be sorry! Once again, my necklace from Julie Miles completely makes this outfit and it looks great with gold espadrilles, but flats would be perfect as well (I’m just short)!

My look most days is shorts and some sort of tee shirt or blouse. I like to look nice, so I try to add a cute pair of shoes and bag. When you’re sitting at a desk, running errands and walking the dog, you need an outfit that goes from one thing to another. Chino shorts come in so many colors and the white blouse has been on heavy rotation for me (linking lots of options below). I think a nice pair of sandals elevates any casual outfit!

You can never go wrong with a sundress and espadrilles (another pair that I’ve had for years from Stuart Weitzman). I’m linking some of my favorite shirt dresses below!

The summer shift dress is another classic summer staple that will never go out of style! I found this one last year at the end of the season on sale. My bag is from a free gift giveaway (Clinique I think!), and I love the color. Again…the Stuart Weitzman!
