Winter Layers

As we struggle with shopping lists and invitations, compounded by December’s bad weather, it is good to be reminded that there are people in our lives who are worth this aggravation, and people to whom we are worth the same.”

-Donald E. Westlake

Our weather has been very up and down over the past few weeks…the week before Thanksgiving, we didn’t get out of the 50’s and on Sunday the temperature was in the 70’s! It’s hard to get used to dressing one way because the next day the weather is drastically different! However…for the days when it’s very cold in the morning but warmer in the afternoon, I think a sleeveless vest-coat is the way to go!

This camel vest can be worn over a light layer…just a sweater or blouse, or layered even more! I decided to try it with this light blue (very thick) cardigan from Anine Bing and a white blouse! I love the way it looks and it definitely added warmth without adding the bulk of another sleeve. I’ve also been playing around with adding pearls to different necklines and so I used a very long strand of pearls from Julie Miles and wrapped them around 3 times for more of a statement at my neck. Black skinny jeans (yes they are still very much in style) and warm fur lined boots make this the perfect winter outfit for running around and staying warm!

This look is great without the vest as well! I changed out the bag and added an older one with a little sparkle for the holidays!

The holidays are upon us and with my youngest daughter is home with her husband and my grandson, things are a little hectic but so much fun! Bear with me as I try to keep up with blogging and holiday gift guides! It’s always a balancing act but I did manage to update my Amazon Shop this morning and it’s a great place to stop by if you’re looking for holiday decor or small gifts so be sure to take a look!

I hope your week is off to a great start! As always your comments are soooo appreciated so let me know what’s on your mind or if there is anything special you would like to see here on Crazy Blonde Life! As always…thank you for reading today!
