THE EASIEST DESSERT

I'm sorry for the late post today, but I think you'll find it was worth the wait!  This recipe for Affogato is one of the easiest yet tastiest desserts you'll ever make!  Affogato means "drowned" in Italian and it is simply ice cream or gelato topped with espresso and whipped cream!  It's like a coffee float!  Feel free to add a shot of your favorite liqueur or change the flavor of the ice cream!  This recipe calls for instant espresso powder OR espresso shots made with an espresso machine.  Enjoy!

As you can see, this dessert makes a nice presentation so it's perfect for a dinner party!

I used my Nepresso Machine from Williams Sonoma to make the espresso, but instant espresso powder would definitely be fine!

I beat the whipping cream quickly by hand in a copper bowl from Williams Sonoma.

The desserts were topped with a chocolate covered espresso bean...so tasty!

Mix instant espresso powder with hot water if you don't have an espresso maker.
