Charred Cauliflower with Hazelnuts and Browned Butter
Browned butter makes anything taste better! It's one of the best things to put on any vegetable and this is one of the tastiest vegetable recipes that I've shared on the blog so far. Browned butter is a comforting flavor and so delicious combined with nuts! The cauliflower is delicious, but I'll admit that I could just eat a whole bowl of hazelnuts with browned butter. This recipe for Charred Cauliflower with Hazelnuts and Browned Butter takes cauliflower to a whole new level! You're going to love it! The key to the amazing flavor is adding grated orange zest at the end! It really gives this dish a fresh flavor and makes it extra delicious! I hope you enjoy! Cut the cauliflower into steaks, place on a baking sheet, brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Roughly chop the hazelnuts.
Place the cauliflower steaks into a really hot cast iron skillet and cook for about 4 minutes on each side.
After removing the cauliflower steaks, add butter and hazelnuts to the skillet, leaving them until they are toasty and the butter is browned.
This dish is tasty on it's own but would be a great side for anything from roasted chicken to salmon.
