An Outfit for Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve in the Smith home will be filled with family, friends, good food and a little bit of fun chaos!  I'm making heavy hors d'oeuvres, including crab cakes, miniature ham biscuits, a beautiful cheese platter with everyone's favorite cheeses and oyster stew, along with a few other things.  I'm hoping the weather will be just perfect for a fire in the fireplace outside and that we can all relax and enjoy each other's company!  I'm sure that Hudson will be sound asleep early, in anticipation of Santa coming the next morning.  I'm linking a post from 2015 for some of my favorite hors d'oeuvres here and a post with a seriously good Hot Chocolate Bar here!  Last year I did a video on how to make an easy and festive Christmas cocktail!  It's crazy to look back and see how much my blog has changed!

I'm going to start the evening in this outfit and probably change into something else to sit by the fire!  I love these red booties, but they're not the best for outdoor activities.  I found this elegant white blouse by Bailey 44 at Rebecca & Co. in Greensboro and I'm wearing it with a pair of Susana Monaco pants.  The red velvet bag that I'm carrying came from a thrift store and I've had it for years!  It came with the original compact and perfume bottle and it's so much fun to carry and I love that I only paid $8.00 for it!  You never know what you might find in the most unexpected places!  I've included some shopping links below that I hope you'll like.

Christmas Outfit Idea

This year has been packed with so many amazing things and it has flown by!  I'm working on a post with all of my favorite moments, fashion and food from 2017!  I am excited for everything that's coming in the New Year!  Please let me know what you would like to see more of in 2018.  If you have a suggestion, please leave it in the comment box below!
