4 Easy Outfit Ideas for Memorial Day

This weekend marks the official start of Summer!  I'm excited for some lazy days catching up on the stacks of magazines that have piled up over the last month or so, grilling out and eating under the stars, sitting on the beach and just enjoying summer!

Summer is the season to shake things up a little with our wardrobes.  I'm thinking embellished handbags, oversized earrings, and easy breezy dresses for those hot days when nothing else feels right.

Jeans always feel right to me no matter the season, but in the summer, I love to wear lighter color jeans and they go beautifully with white and turquoise accessories!  Oversized earrings are a huge trend right now and a great way to add a pop of color to an outfit.  Embellished clutches are everywhere and can be found at every price point as can off-the-shoulder tops.  This white top combines two trends...statement sleeves and off-the-shoulder.

This little black dress is the most comfortable thing in my closet and I will be wearing it non-stop this summer.  It would even be a great bathing suit cover up!  I added a straw bag and platform shoes from last season, but flats would work as well.  When it's so hot that you don't want anything to touch you, this is the dress to choose!

This patriotic dress from Parker is also from last season, but when I got my new Cabi shoes (yes they are making shoes now), I was thrilled to see that the colors were perfect with the dress.  I love mixing prints and this combo could be better.  My bracelet is a vintage bakelite that I found in an antique store last year.

I saved the best for last!  Another one of my Cabi favorites is this fabulous and very affordable grey dress.  The fabric is so soft and it's fitted, but forgiving (meaning I can eat while wearing it).  I paired it with my Chloe mini bag and Chloe espadrilles that I've worn sooo much (they are on major sald right now)!  You can tell it's the end of the afternoon because I'm having a glass of Rose on the porch!

I'm so excited for the summer days ahead!  Have a wonderful long weekend and I'll be back tomorrow with more summer ideas!
