6 New Beauty Products To Try For Summer

Last week, for the first time since quarantine began, I actually went into a store and bought makeup (Target doesn’t count). My daughter and I popped into Ulta and I refreshed a few tried and true products that I love and also bought a few new things to try. It felt so good to actually be able to physically pick out items… however, we couldn’t test anything in-store, so obviously it’s still not the same, but we’re slowly getting back to normal. The only item not purchased at Ulta is the Le Labo Body Scrub, that was ordered from Nordstrom. Keep scrolling to learn more about these products.

Le Labo Body Scrub

A body scrub that gently exfoliates your skin with a nourishing, plant-based formula…smells heavenly!

I love a body scrub any time of the year, but especially in summer when more skin is exposed. I choose this one from Le Labo specifically because of the packaging. I’m trying to be more environmentally conscious when I choose packaging when I have options. To be honest, I haven’t tried this body scrub yet. I ordered several to compare, but with the way deliveries are these days, only this one has been delivered. When the others arrive, I’ll be sure to try them and give an honest review.

Tarte Shape Tape Pressed Powder

Helps cover redness, hyperpigmentation, & more without looking cakey or dry. Peptide complex helps soften the appearance of fine lines and pores.

Tarte Cosmetics has been a favorite company of mine for years. The company was started in 2000 and has always used naturally derived ingredients. The are a cruelty free company that makes sustainability, healthy and community a priority. I’ve been using this Shape Tape pressed powder for about a week now and I do really like it. It gives a little extra coverage over my foundation, but it’s not heavy at all.

This Anastasia Brow Pencil is one that I buy in multiples…it’s my very favorite and I think I’ve tried them all.

Nars Sheer Lipstick

A lipstick in a subtle, sheer finish that shines, offering instant color vibrancy and conditioning lips for lightweight wear. Comes in 20 colors.

NARS Sheer Lipstick is always a favorite and comes in so many colors. I tend to stick to a pinky brown for the most part because it seems to go with everything.

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer

Multipurpose concealer that brightens, corrects and perfects for 16-hour wear.

NARS Creamy Concealer is another tried and true product…but not my favorite for under eyes. I use this for extra coverage where I have some hyperpigmentation and an occasional blemish. The Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat All Over Brightening Pen is my all time favorite for under eyes.

Buxom Plumping Lip Gloss

Plumps the appearance of lips with a tantalizing tingle in a high-shine, shimmering finish…my favorite lip gloss!

I’m never without my Buxom Lip Gloss. I buy it in several colors and love it over my lipstick! I’ve tried others that are more expensive, but I always come back to the Buxom!

Living Proof Smooth Blowout Concentrate

A time-saving, transformative styling treatment that gives coarse or thick hair types a smooth, easy, and visibly healthier*

I love to try hair oils, especially in the summer when my hair tends to be more frizzy. I’ve only used this once…just a drop or two on wet hair…and it did smooth my hair. I haven’t tried any Living Proof products that weren’t fabulous!

I would love to know your favorite tried and true products….leave a comment below and let me know!
