Street Style with Chan Luu

Let’s just take a moment and talk about this light! These pictures were taken right before sunset and the light was stunning! My photographer and I had been going at it for several hours and I said, can we do just one more look…we were both tired, but she said…”why not?”! So, we found this spot in an industrial area of town and there was very little traffic (but lots of sirens)! Sometimes, a plan comes together and we ended the evening with these pictures that we had so much fun taking!

I think part of the reason it was so much fun is that I absolutely love what I’m wearing! It’s so funny how I can love a really girly dress with a floral print, or a pair of plaid straight leg pants and love this look so much as well! I guess I have multiple clothing personalities and that definitely makes getting dressed more fun!

This top I’m wearing is from Chan Luu…it’s a nubby silk patchwork cropped top that ties at the sides and it looks just as good with white jeans as it does with these flare leg dark wash jeans. It’s a little boho and a lot fabulous! I had no idea until I found this top that Chan Luu made clothing…I thought they just made jewelry. What a nice surprise! Keep scrolling for more details!

The raffia bag with brown leather trim and wooden detail at the sides is from Jacquemus! It’s so unusual and it was last seen here. I purchased it to go with a Brochu Walker dress that I wore in Miami, but I’ve worn it often with everything from jeans to dresses. The gorgeous sandals are a moss green suede and I’ll wear them all winter long (unless it’s snowing)! I love a sky high wooden block heel sandal and these will be great with dresses and skirts as well!

The ring I’m wearing in the picture above is from Julie Miles! So many of my things were packed up during our renovation and it’s great to have them in one place where I can see them. I’m shopping my closet and it rediscovering my clothes and jewelry! Every now and then I think about something that I haven’t seen recently and have to go on a search to find it. I honestly had clothes, bags, shoes and jewelry stuck in every closet and drawer in the house. It should be very interesting when the weather changes and I pull out my fall and winter items! I’m sure there are things that I never wore last year and it’ll be like Christmas!

I’m not a person who subscribes to the theory that if you haven’t worn something for six months, you should let it go! If I love something…especially a designer or really nice piece, I hang on to it and chances are, I’ll pull it out and wear it, even if it’s three or 4 years! It does create somewhat of a storage issue, but I’ve taken things to goodwill and regretted it later, so I just keep filling up closets! I have the first pair of Gucci boots (chocolate brown suede) that I ever bought..they’re over 25 years old and I still wear them occasionally! I hope my daughters will appreciate and wear my clothes one day!

I’m curious…do you have may different clothing personalities as I do, or do you stick to a more classic style and a capsule wardrobe? Let me know…

Have a great day and thanks so much for reading!

~XOXO Suzanne
