The Art of a Fall Table

A fall tablescape on the front porch feels extra cozy when styled on a round table set for four and draped with a seasonal tablecloth in warm autumn tones. Blue and white dishes set on top of blue rimmed, raffia placemats and napkins that compliment the tablecloth make a beautiful fall setting! It’s been so humid and warm here in North Carolina and we’re ready for fall dinners on the porch surrounded by the crisp air. This table is perfect for enjoying the season outdoors!

I’m wearing a denim dress from Just Darviny that is ideal for wearing now and into fall and…it just happens to match the tablecloth! I have belted this dress but it is equally nice unbelted for a more casual look and looks great with heels or flats and booties in the fall…it’s perfect for a fall dinner party!

The table is set with a gorgeous fall tablecloth from Just Darviny, napkins from Christina Dickson Home, older chargers from Skyros, Mikasa bowls (similar here), rustic plates from Anthropologie (similar here), clear water glasses with bees, Amazon wine glasses, brass flatware, and mercury glass candlesticks and pumpkins. I threw a lightweight blanket over the chair…just in case there’s a chill in the air!

The fall cheese platter was made on a marble footed board (similar here) and set on the bar cart beside the table. I used three cheese that deliciously compliment each other…St. Andre, Holboldt Fog and an herbed goat cheese. Figs and red grapes are a seasonal addition to the board. I also included a chili fig spread and hot honey in a small glass jar with a wooden top and spoon.

Both pillar candles and votive candles help to set the scene as the sun sets…

Nibbles served alongside the cheese include potato chips, Castelvetrano olives, and peanuts.

Every month I receive a shipment of six bottles of rose from Dry Farm Wines and I always look forward to trying the new wines! Most people think rose is a summer wine, but it’s the best compliment to hearty rich foods, along with Champagne!

Aside from eating outside when the weather gets cooler, I’m looking forward to making soup, stuffed butternut squash and pumpkin bread from Williams Sonoma!

Thanks so much for reading today!
