About Last Night
About two weeks ago, Baldy casually mentioned that he was invited to a dinner at The Polo Bar in NYC and asked if I would like to come with him! Well…of course I would like to go, how else would I ever get into that place for dinner??!! My excitement was through the roof and then…I thought “what will I wear"?”!
I didn’t have a spare day to go shopping and try things on, so I ordered 4 dresses and kept my fingers crossed that they would all come in time and I would have options. In the end, only two dresses came, but when I tried on this green one from Ulla Johnson, I knew it was the one! I ended up keeping both dresses and as I sit here in New York, typing this post, the other two are on my front porch waiting for me to come home - go figure!
Anyway, last night was absolutely amazing! We had the most wonderful food and The Polo Bar was very beautiful! I couldn’t take pictures because we were at a business dinner, but I really wanted to!
We had a seafood tower that was filled with lobster, huge shrimp, oysters and crab claws. I had tuna tartare, dover sole that was delicious, and…the best brownie with ice cream for dessert! Needless to say I was very full and a little tipsy because when I wasn’t looking, my wine glass kept filled! We walked back to the hotel and fell into bed, tired, full and happy! What a fun night we had!
Ulla Johnson has long been one of my favorite brands and I have dresses that are 6 or 7 years old that I still wear! These clothes are classic, well made and beautiful!
