The Best Little White Dress from Amazon

It’s been quite crazy the past two days! I left Bald Head to go home for a few appointments…a girl has to get her hair and nails done… and then drove back last night. It’s only about a 3 hour drive and a 30 minute ferry ride, but it seemed like a lot to pack into 2 days. Amos stayed here with Baldy because he gets so car sick and I just couldn’t make him ride in the car knowing that he would be sick. I arrived back at around 10 pm last night, got up at 6 this morning and the internet was down because of a storm last night! After I got all of that taken care of…Amos started throwing up because he swallowed plastic that was on one of his chew toys! As I write this, it’s only 8:00 am and I got up at 6. So far, I’m not getting much done!

I’ve talked so much about how Bald Head Island is my happy place and I still feel that way! When I step off the ferry and smelt the salty ocean air, it’s the best feeling. Our family has been coming here for over 30 years and we’ve made so many good memories here…long days at the beach, swimming in the pool, climbing Old Baldy (the historic lighthouse), bicycle rides and so much more. As with everything in life, some years have been better than others. I’ll will say that I feel happier about my life in general right now than I have in years, so I feel more lighthearted, but in the time I’ve been here this summer, I haven’t let myself relax much at all!

When I started Crazy Blonde Life, I didn’t know what I wanted it to be, I just wanted to talk and share things that I loved…BUT/AND it’s turned into a business. I did realize however, after a couple of years, that I wanted to be a content creator/influencer, but had no idea exactly what that really meant. I’m still navigating through things and learning every day, but I’m not very good at taking time off and I’m starting to feel a little burned out. Sometimes it’s hard to separate my life from my work. I get up almost every day, even on weekends before 6 am and it seems like I work 24/7. Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t a complaint, I love what I do, but I really need to take a day every now and then. Maybe the weekend…

Anyone feel me on this?

Ok, enough about me, and on to the fashion. I found the adorable dress I’m wearing in these pictures on Amazon for only $27! It’s lined and comes in lots of colors, but white is always perfect for summer. I’ve worn it several times since I’ve been here and love it for going out to lunch or just hanging out at the house. I just throw on my Tory Burch Miller Sandals (also love these) or a pair of espadrilles and I’m out the door. The hat is by Eric Javits and a little more expensive, but I’m so hard on hats and my hair is a hot mess on this island and I like to keep it covered rather than try to dry and fix it…so, the hat sometimes goes in the pool and gets crunched up in the beach bag. This hat is packable and I’ve found out…waterproof, so that makes it worth the price. Keep scrolling for shopping links because you know you need this dress!

Amazon Dress on the beach - Crazy Blonde Life

One thing I’ve always loved about being at Bald Head is that the beach is rarely crowded. Even on days when it’s a little busier, you still feel like it’s somewhat private.

Croissants and brie never tasted so good!

Let me know…do you sometimes feel burnout and how do you deal with it. When you’re building a business, it’s hard to take a day off. Even when I try to take a day off, I can’t stop thinking about all the things I need to do…
