New York Outfit Ideas

I have a confession that won't surprise anyone who's been reading my blog for a while... I packed for New York around my jeans. Again.

It happens almost every trip. I lay everything out on the bed with good intentions… maybe a dress, maybe something unexpected, and then I look at it and think, but what if I just wore jeans? And once that thought enters the chat, it's over.

Here's the thing about a great pair of jeans... they're just easy! Throw a tee on top and you're running errands. Throw on a silk top and a heel and suddenly you're at dinner downtown looking like you tried… except you didn't, really. You just knew what worked.

That's the whole game for me. I love jeans… embellished, flare, cropped! And part of my packing decision was made because of the crazy weather. One day the temperature is 80 and the next the high is 68. Jeans let me get dressed without thinking about it twice.

So here we go… four outfits, four pairs of jeans, dressy to casual. Shopping on Madison Avenue, a delicious lunch at Fasano on 49th Street (I’ll let you know), and everything in between.
