Easy & Good
An easy summer outfit and a mantra worth borrowing…
Inspiration can come from anywhere and sometimes it's so unexpected. This morning, I was scrolling through Instagram and stopped to watch a reel that caught my attention. The reel was a woman walking on the beach, talking about how we get in our heads and try to complicate things instead of listening to our hearts and simplifying. She said her mantra for 2026 was "show me how easy it can be and show me how good it can get." This really resonated with me because I can definitely try to make things so much more difficult than they need to be. But wouldn't it be better to ask for easy and good... and then expect things to be easy and good? I'm taking this mantra for my own for the remainder of 2026! I think the real trick is to not only use the mantra, but to expect that it will all work out. I hope this resonates with you as much as it did for me... it was just what I needed this morning.
Keep scrolling for the fashion…
Full disclosure here... this skirt is from Zara and I can't link it. However, the outfit formula is so easy to replicate... maxi skirt, espadrilles, and a white peplum (or other) cotton top along with a raffia bag. I searched so many websites to find great maxi skirts at every price point and found very similar blouses since mine is a couple of years old. My pink espadrilles (fun ones here) are also several years old, and a staple in my closet for summer... they're great with white jeans as well. I finished the look with a raffia bag from Loeffler Randall. This is a look that I'll be wearing often... it's so easy and summery.
And my jewelry, of course, is VAHAN. There's something about putting on these pieces that feels less like accessorizing and more like permission. Permission to dress for myself, to choose what I love simply because I love it. As women, we are constantly buying for others. But we wait for the right occasion, the right reason, the right someday to buy for ourselves... the truth is, wanting something beautiful is reason enough. VAHAN is where I give myself that permission…pieces I reach for because they make me feel beautiful. They go perfectly with this look and add a touch of elegance to even the easiest summer outfit.
The little pearl chain bracelet along with the cross bracelet pictured below are two of my favorites and I wear them together often!
As always, I encourage you to use these outfits as inspiration and recreate similar ones from your closet. Start with a color palette or a style and create from there. Maybe you have some fun pink pants that would substitute for the skirt, or a pink top that would pair with white jeans. I save pictures everyday to go back to for inspiration when I’m feeling stuck and not very creative. Of course, I would love for you to shop with me, but I also want to you inspire you to wear what you have in unexpected ways!
Having said that…I’m starting a style challenge on Monday June 1! I thought it would be a fun way to kick off a new month so be sure to check back!
Easy outfits, beautiful pieces, and the permission to enjoy both... that's the kind of summer I'm planning. I hope you'll do the same!
Thanks so much for reading today!
