When Comfortable Still Makes a Statement

“Pulled together, easy to wear, and just a little unexpected.”

This outfit is exactly my kind of look… comfortable, practical, and statement making. These lug sole gold and cream suede booties from The Office of Angela Scott are just too fabulous and I’m obsessed. I want to wear them everyday! They’re insanely comfy, easy to wear, and bold (the silver detail in the back and those wide ecru laces really add so much personality). I kept things classic with straight leg, cropped jeans from Mother and layered a cashmere camel V-neck from Brochu Walker over a crisp white button-up, because I’ll never say no to a good layer moment. The Franne Golde denim jacket (similar here) adds my favorite denim-on-denim vibe, and the handmade leopard envelope clutch from Coastal Clutch NY brings in just the right amount of fun with the vintage clasp. How the look came together…

This look started with the boots, and everything else came together from there. I knew I wanted them fully on display, so I went with cropped jeans and rolled them just a touch to hit right at the top of the boot. The sweater picked up on the tone of the shoe sole, and to keep things interesting I layered in a crisp white button-up. What really pulls the whole look together, though, are the pearl necklaces—ladylike but still fun and a little funky. The denim jacket felt like the obvious choice, and the small leopard clutch was absolutely the icing on the cake.

At the end of the day, this is the kind of outfit I reach for again and again—easy, wearable, and full of personality without trying too hard. Getting dressed is more fun when you trust your instincts, mix classic pieces with a few bold choices, and let the details do the talking. Comfortable enough for real life, interesting enough to feel special, and exactly how I want to show up.
