Interesting Neutrals

Neutrals Done Right…

Here's what I love about neutrals right now... the 2026 runways went loud with color…tangerine, cobalt, tomato red, citron yellow, all of it screaming for attention. The easy read is that neutrals are done. But the smart money is on the women who know how to make a quiet palette look considered instead of safe. Who What Wear made the case recently, calling cognac the brown everyone's reaching for now... that rich shade between camel and chocolate. That's what I'm wearing here, a tan knit against a lighter denim but the leopard heel is doing the talking. Even Pantone's Color of the Year landed on a neutral, a soft milky white called Cloud Dancer. Neutrals aren't the boring choice. Worn with intention, they're always interesting.

The trick with neutrals is that the color isn't the point... the texture is. A tan knit on its own is just a tan knit. But put it against worn denim, add an interesting woven bag and a leopard heel, and suddenly you've got contrast doing the work. That's what makes a neutral outfit read as considered instead of plain. Nobody's looking at the brown. They're looking at how it all works together.

I love a good short sleeve cardigan, and this one from Perfect White Tee works almost all year. It'll be perfect heading into fall but looks just as good right now with these wide-leg jeans from Still Here..or white denim. I added my leopard sling backs that I reach for spring through fall…the print goes with everything. The woven bag that I picked up last season is from Jacquemus and my bracelets are from VAHAN. Keep scrolling for a boutique filled with some of my favorite neutrals that make getting dressed a breeze!

So go ahead and lean into your neutrals. The secret was never the color... it's the way you put it together. Texture, contrast, one good print, and pieces you'll actually reach for season after season. That's how quiet becomes interesting.

Thanks so much for reading!
