Jazzing Up an All Black Outfit
Black…we all wear it often and never get tired of it! Black looks good on everyone and is very slimming. When I’m pushed for time, throwing on an all black ensemble is one of the easiest ways to look put together and get out the door quickly.
Having a few well thought out accessories on hand to jazz up your outfit can take you from boring to fabulous in no time! In my opinion, investing in great quality shoes is important and when you consider price per wear, you usually come out much better than you would buying more trendy ones.
I’m going to ramble a little here, but I’ll get to the point…
I really miss going to New York! Every year, for as long as I can remember, we’ve taken a trip to NYC the first week of December. Baldy works, and of course, I shop! I love rambling around the city, people watching, seeing the beautiful windows decorated for the holidays, and ducking in and out of the stores. It’s been on these trips that I’ve made some of my most loved (and worn) purchases. The Gucci boots that I’m wearing in the first picture were bought 2 years ago at Bergdorf Goodman. When I go up the escalator to 2nd floor shoes, I can feel myself getting goose bumps! I usually look around, decide what I want to try on and then go up to the 7th floor and have lunch. After lunch and wandering around looking at the beautiful home goods, I go back to the shoe floor and make my purchase(s)!
Saks Fifth Avenue is another favorite store to purchase shoes. I bought the Stuart Weitzman tall boots there (in fact, I bought 2 pairs of boots that day) and that has been at least 4 years ago.
Until a couple of years ago, another of my favorite New York stores was Henri Bendel where this leopard tote was purchased. I still miss the way the store was when they sold jewelry, makeup and accessories. I spent many hours there! I’m sure you get the point…buy the best quality, classic shoes you can afford and you’ll never be sorry!
Speaking of shopping…I’ve had my eye on these earrings and haven’t pulled the trigger yet! I’m in love with them!
