A Touch of Americana With Coastal Clutch NY

I’m planning to celebrate July 4th in style and it’s all about embracing patriotic spirit with a statement look. I have a few ideas in mind for this years outfit and this look is one of my favorites (also check out the looks in this post). I’m pretty obsessed with Sarah Alexandra blouses and this classic red and white striped button-up blouse paired with wide-leg white jeans, is a look that’s classic and stylish. When I purchased the (now almost vintage) Gucci platform sandals (solid cream here) with red and blue accents, I had a twinge of guilt because I wasn’t sure how often I would wear them, but over the years, I’ve pulled them out so often and they really add to this look! But… the bag from Coastal Clutch really makes the outfit! The navy fabric with white stars is a fun nod to the holiday! The bag also features a bamboo handle and fabulous white feathers, and it’s lined with a floral fabric decorated with flags…so very chic!

The charming street we took the pictures on is very near our home and was the perfect backdrop for this July 4th outfit. The picturesque street has a fountain in the middle and is lined with trees and lamp posts. I grew up riding my bicycle in the neighborhood, and up and down this street with my friends. We even played in the fountain occasionally (we definitely were not supposed to)!

On this particular day, as luck would have it…there was a cute little red car parked right on the curb, just waiting to be in the photographs!

The look I’m wearing would be easy to recreate (minus the shoes) and the pieces are very versatile on their own. The jeans from Frank & Eileen have become favorites.

Contact Coastal Clutch (through Instagram DM) for more information and to inquire about a handmade bag of your own and be sure to check out their Instagram page to see more of these fabulous bags! Keep scrolling for details on the look!

More of the Details…

The pearl bracelet I’m wearing is actually a necklace worn as a bracelet from Julie Miles and my chandelier earrings are from Julie Vos. I own so much jewelry from these two designers that I call them “the Julies”! The bandana and my white sunnies are from Amazon and you know they’re linked in my storefront. I’ll probably keep my French manicure for most of the summer because it goes with everything and looks so crisp, and change the polish on my toes according to whim, but for the 4th…I’ll definitely paint my toes a bold red! Might as well be festive…

I got busy last night and made an idea list on Amazon that’s filled with everything you might need or want for July! Check it out here!

How cute is this picture with the red car in the background?! And…about the jeans from Frank & Eileen - they are a mid rise jean, they have just the right amount of stretch and I love the wide leg. They work with heels or flats and are so comfortable. They wash well, come in several blue jean washes and they also come in black. They’re not inexpensive, but when you consider price per wear, they’re definitely worth it! I’ve linked a few other pairs in the boutique below, but in my opinion, these are the best! Frank & Eileen is known for quality and comfort…
