And just like that…it’s summer! I’ve always been a summer time girl. It’s different than fall which is my other favorite season…it’s not cozy! Its a bright and energetic time when happiness seems right around every corner…from the best summer tomatoes to walks on the beach. The days are long and bright daylight turns into the most wonderful golden hour when the dogs and grandchildren love to chase fireflies.
I love nothing more than to feel the sun on my skin…somehow, it makes everything seem okay!
Did I mention travel…I think we all travel more in the summer! I’m leaving for Boston tomorrow to visit my daughter and starting to put things in my suitcase. It’s a different kind of packing than throwing a few swimsuits and shorts into a bag. I need to do a little more planning for sightseeing, long lunches, cocktails at the beautiful Fairmont Hotel in the Oak Bar and walking around the seaport! Admittedly, I’ve bought a few new things, but there is so much on sale right now that I don’t feel one bit guilty.
