I’ve recently discovered Poolside, a new company that makes the most adorable straw bags!
Poolside was created for the girl who is always thinking about her next vacation…and isn’t that all of us right now!?
Founded by Ashleigh Hults during a winter trip to St. Barths, her line of beach bags launched in Summer 2016 and quickly became the greatest thing on Instagram! Poolside’s inaugural collection featured irreverent, hand-embroidered rap lyrics and pop-culture phrases such as “Sip Champagne When We Thirsty” and “Woke Up Like This,” which are both sell-out bags.

Poolside supports female artisans and sustainability! The weaving handicraft is associated with female artisans globally, and Poolside works with over 50 female weavers in India and Morocco. They have created a fair trade, which has resulted in financial independence and job stability for those women .
Poolside bags are currently manufactured in India and are made mostly of natural materials with sustainable processes when possible. Each Poolside bag takes over two days to create and since they are made with natural materials, each bag is slightly different!

Yes, it was very cold on the day these pictures were taken, but since I don’t have a tropical vacation planned…I had to show you how cute this bag is! It will be my go-to bag this summer and I’m sure I’ll add a few more because Poolside makes so many amazing bags that I simply can’t resist (story of my life)!
