Reframe Your Day

This morning started with a bang! There are lots of changes going on in my life and I can’t talk about all of them yet, but I will say that the future is looking good! You never really know what’s coming, but the right mindset can make all the difference!

I did not wake up with the right mindset this morning! My eyes opened, I looked around, and had to remember where I was. I’ve been at the beach for three weeks and had to acclimate to being home again. My mind immediately started making a to-do list (not good) and I felt the stress beginning to creep in. I needed to mail a package to my daughter, take the dogs to the vet and groomer, finish unpacking, get the house back in order. etc. etc. etc. The overwhelm was real and it was not making me happy!

It took a little while, but eventually, I talked myself off the ledge. This is not how I want to live my life. I sat in meditation for 15 minutes and it took a little while for my mind to calm down but when it did, a sense of peace came over me. The download I had during these few minutes was this…

I don’t have to do the things on my list, I GET to do the things on my list.

I have just come back from three weeks at the beach and I am fully aware that not many people can just pick up and go to a beautiful island to vacation for three weeks! I did work a little while I was there, but I love my work…it feeds my soul and that’s one more thing to be grateful for!

When I came out of my meditation, I said the prayer I say every morning…

“God, Angels, Universe…I begin this day with the wisdom to trust that I am profoundly loved and supported by you. I know that your infinite power lives all around me and is the light within me.”

That prayer is such a reminder that I have a responsibility to shine the powerful light that lives within me and that doesn’t include dreading the gift of another day on this earth!

I’ve reframed the whole day at this point. I have my health and strong body and I am able to go to the post office, take the dogs to the vet and anything else I need to do. I live in a beautiful home and I get to straighten up and put things in order. I am grateful for the opportunity to interact with people I meet and see today and make it anything I want it to be. It’s all in how I look at things…mindset is everything!

Thank you for reading today…I hope this post serves you in some way! I always always appreciate your comments because they let me know which posts resonate with you the most - whether it’s inspiration, fashion or anything else, so if you have something to say, I would love to hear! Make today a great one!
