Revisiting Intentions for 2020

Wearing Ulla Johnson in Miami - Crazy Blonde Life

I can hardly believe it’s the end of February and in just one more month, we will have lived one quarter of 2020! Looking back, it has been a whirlwind of a year so far! I’m revisiting the intentions that I set at the beginning of the year and feeling really good about where I am. Of course, I would like to be a little further down the road moving toward my goals, but I’m also reminding myself that the joy is in the journey. Waking up each day with the intention to make it a great day, be happy, enjoy the small moments that in the end, make up my life is, in my mind, the most important thing I can do. The rest will take care of itself and at the end of the year, I’m certain that I’ll look back and be amazed at the opportunities that came my way! It’s amazing how life changes, when your perspective changes!

There is not enough I can say about the benefits of staying positive. You can’t live a positive life if your thoughts are negative! So looking back at the past two months, I’m so grateful to have made new blogger friends, had the chance to spend so much time with my two grandsons (#cutestchildrenever), and spend really good time with Baldy. I mention this first, because I think nurturing and enjoying relationships with family and friends is what makes life worth living. At times, I realize that I’ve gotten too caught up in work and even though it’s what I love to do, it wouldn’t mean a thing without my friends and family.

I believe that travel and having new and different experiences expands our minds. Being able to meet new people who live and think differently than we do makes us more tolerant and it also hopefully, makes us appreciate home and our own lives. I’ve traveled more than ever so far this year with more travel and exciting experiences coming.

The abundance that has come into my life over the past year is amazing. Abundance can flow in so many different ways, I love this quote by Epicurus…”Not what we have, but what we enjoy, constitutes our abundance.”

Enjoy your life, follow your passion, be grateful for something every day, take time to listen to your inner voice and delight in the beauty of nature. These things will change your life and abundance will flow in ways that will be unbelievable. While there will be days that are hard, remember that “this too shall pass” and the sun will shine again tomorrow. Celebrate your life! Living this way as much as possible has changed everything for me. Five years ago, I never would have dreamed that I would be writing a blog or that I would even be happy, but I am! I constantly try to surround myself with uplifting people and positive thoughts. My morning meditation makes all the difference in my day. On the days when things aren’t so good, everything always seems better after I take some time to meditate and listen to the wisdom in the stillness. Life is supposed to be easy and you are supposed to be happy.

It’s funny, when I sat down this morning, I had no idea what I was going to write, but all of this just poured out of me. I am so overwhelmed with gratitude for everything in my life and as Oprah would say…what I know for sure is that I created this life I’m living by changing my thoughts and believing in myself! That is such a good feeling!

Wearing Ulla Johnson at Sunset in Miami - Crazy Blonde Life

The pictures above were taken at sunset in Miami last week. Baldy and I were going to have dinner with colleagues and friends of his that I had never met. We had a lovely dinner with delicious food and great conversation. The next morning we boarded Seven Seas Splendor and set off on a wonderful cruise. The whole experience was a “pinch me” moment!

I’m linking my outfit below…it was the perfect thing to wear to a casual dinner! My top is from Ulla Johnson and I’m completely obsessed with her spring collection. I would love to own every piece…

I looked and looked, but could not find the top I’m wearing. I did find a dress in the same fabric and that is in the boutique below. I also included my favorite tops from the new collection.

How is 2020 going for you so far?
