Yesterday was cold, rainy and miserable and I had a hard time making myself go anywhere! I decided to have a try on session for my Instagram Stories with the items I purchased from Loft recently. A Word About Paper Bag Pants
Paper bag pants certainly don’t have the most appealing name and an excessive amount of fabric around your waist sounds like something you would definitely want to avoid, but the style is more flattering than you might expect!
For spring, paper bag pants are still going strong and you’ll find them in every style, color and price point! H&M has a huge selection if you want to try the trend without too much of a financial commitment!
As for how to style the tricky trend - the secret is to pair them with either something cropped or something fitted—you don’t want to drown the silhouette in a lot of extra fabric. A bodysuit, or a slim fitting top will make this look feel pulled together.
I styled mine with a simple but fitted black v-neck tee, a black leather jacket and snakeskin booties! This is a trend that I’ll be wearing often!
I picked up this adorable heart sweater from Loft by Lou & Grey for Valentine’s Day. It’s funny because I’ll be in Florida and won’t be able to wear it, but it was such a deal that I know it will be great for next year! I paired it with some white jeans that I’m seriously loving from Citizens of Humanity, and my cute sneakers from Sofft. I wore this yesterday to do the few errands that I was willing to go out for and it was so comfy.
I’m always on the lookout for cute tops that I can just throw on with a pair of booties and this one is perfect. It has a spring feel, but is still warm enough on a cool day and I love the detail of the slightly puffed sleeve. I’ll also wear it with white jeans.
I’m wearing the white jeans again, this time more casually (I think this is officially my uniform) with a very soft Lou & Grey sweatshirt. This shirt also came with sweatpants, but I just love it with jeans and sneakers. Side note…I have just ordered a pair of white sneakers! You might think - ok well…but I’ve just not been able to commit to this trend until now. The trend is clearly not going anywhere and it’s practical and comfortable, so I’m going to give it a shot. How do you feel about the sneaker trend? I have loved the sneakers I’m wearing by Tretorn and I think they compliment this outfit nicely!
