A Beautiful Summer Tablescape
The season for al fresco dining is upon us, and there’s nothing better than gathering around a beautifully set table under the open sky. When I begin to think about setting a table and how I want it to look, it all begins with the linens (sometimes, even before the menu)…think of them as the canvas for your outdoor feast.
That’s where Just Darviny’s hand-cut and block-printed linens come into play. Each piece is a work of art, crafted with a touch of artisanal magic, so your table isn’t just functional but it’s also a feast for the eyes. Whether you’re hosting a casual brunch or a romantic dinner for two, these gorgeous linens add a layer of personality and charm that will wow your guests and make your meal even more special!
Go ahead and layer on matching dishes, glasses, and fresh flowers…your tablescape is about to become the talk of the neighborhood, all thanks to a splash of artisan brilliance from Just Darviny.
How gorgeous is this table? The flowers are arranged in a vintage, weathered aluminum container and match perfectly! I love the touch of coral in the flower arrangement with the browns and blues of the tablecloth and dishes. I used a mix of vintage blue and white dishes along with favorites from Haand Pottery. The adorable wicker lamps add a another summery element to the table and provide just the right amount of light as the sun begins to set.
The tiered basket (similar here) holds fresh hot, crusty bread on top and a little blueberry tart on top of a stack of vintage plates. The height of the basket adds interest to the table.
The absolutely gorgeous floral arrangement came from Custom Floral in Burlington!
I serve rose all year long, but it’s really the best choice in summer because it truly goes with everything! I served the wine right on the table in a ceramic wine chiller! My pearl bracelet is really a necklace from Julie Miles!
My fabulous dress is also from Just Darviny and is the perfect outfit for an outdoor alfresco dinner! I wore the same dress and styled it differently in this post!
A beautiful little cheese platter even matches the linens…I used blueberry white cheddar, whipped honey, blueberries and a delicious brie…all served with slices of baguette and presented on a vintage blue and white platter!
I’m wearing vintage Gucci sandals with my dress (similar here).
