Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

It’s hard to believe but Thanksgiving is less than a month away!

At the Smith house, we start early planning the menu and deciding what everyone is going to bring and this year we’re having a crowd…there will be 20 of us! I’m working on a Thanksgiving Survival Guide for you and it’s going to be so helpful in keeping you organized and giving you a timeline for when to do what! I’ll include recipes for sides, drinks and appetizers as well as table settings, fashion ideas and more! It’ll be ready for download on November 1!

In the meantime, here are a few ideas for what to wear for Thanksgiving…whether you dress up or keep it casual, these are all great ideas! I hope you’re inspired!

I love pairing a pair of boots with a bohemian style dress! I think it’s perfect for a more formal Thanksgiving and both pieces can be worn in so many different ways. Even if you’re outside, the boots make this outfit work and are great to have in your closet!

We are usually less formal at our Thanksgiving dinner because there are so many of us and I like to be outdoors by the fire. This look is perfect for me…just dressy enough and still very polished. I also like the idea of a sleeveless turtleneck because I get hot running around getting things ready.

This dark floral dress is right on trend with the square neckline and puff sleeves. Slightly more casual than the first outfit, but still fabulous and would also be great with a dressier shoe.

Flare jeans with a flowy bohemian blouse is a classic look that always works. The earrings elevate this look so if you already have a blouse that will work, look for jewelry that coordinates! This look is my favorite!

So classic…you can’t go wrong with this look and it goes absolutely everywhere!

Sleek and sophisticated! I have a black version of this dress that’s longer, but would still be perfect! I have snakeskin boots that would pair well and I would use a solid bag.

You all seem to enjoy these posts…remember to use what you have and use these looks as inspiration, filling in where necessary! It’s nice to look at your wardrobe in new ways and I think we always have more than we realize! Enjoy the boutique below and Happy Monday…let me know what you think!
