Brian’s mom, Laurene lost her hard fought battle with breast cancer in 2020 after spending much time volunteering for breast cancer organizations and passionately raising money for a cure.
Laurene loved pearls and Brian decided to launch The Freshwater Pearl Company to keep her advocacy alive! One of Laurene’s favorite quotes was "When life gives you 100 reasons to cry, show life 1,000 reasons to smile.” This quote is an example of her joyful attitude and never ending desire to live life to the fullest!
