All the Weekend Vibes

Can you ever have too many striped sweaters? I think not! Stripes are great in every season and suit my casual style perfectly!

I could and wear some form of this outfit every day. Straight leg, mid-rise jeans, a well made tee, a sweater thrown over my shoulders…just in case, and Gucci shoes! It feels good to be comfortable!

Yesterday was a day of errand running, but it was still a little cool and I didn't think just a tee shirt would keep me warm enough so I added this cute striped sweater from Zara, casually thrown over my shoulders. I got it last October when I was in Paris with my daughter (yes, I went into Zara in Paris) and I’ve worn it often! It’s thick and the quality is amazing!

The jeans…

I’m having such a time with jeans right now! There are so many styles, washes and rises to choose from and it’s confusing. I do wear the high waisted styles…they’re not my favorites but, luckily, mid and low rise jeans are making a comeback! When I don wear the high waisted styles, I usually pair them with a cropped blouse or tee so that I’m not having to tuck something into the waist of the jeans because it’s just too much fabric around my midsection and it’s uncomfortable to me. That’s been my best solution for high rise style jeans.

For my short waisted body type, a lower rise works much better and is more comfortable. I love to do a half tuck with my longer tees and leave blouses untucked on one side. It’s an updated and trendy way to wear a classic button up blouse.

The shoes…

Not long ago, I wrote about how I struggled with how to wear my Gucci loafers (also purchased in Paris) and when I’m wearing them with jeans, straight leg styles are the solution. These lug sole loafers aren’t for everyone, but if you’re looking for comfort they’re amazing and I’m sure I’ll be wearing them for years to come!

I hope you all have a great weekend! It’s going to be so pretty here and I’m looking forward to planting some flowers, taking Amos for long walks, having one of our last fires, playing basketball with my grandsons and doing a little cooking! I’ve got some really great recipes lined up for next week and I’ll have a few up on my Instagram stories over the weekend!
