The Most Versatile Jacket

Is it just me or do the weeks fly by? Life is so busy and with the holidays coming…you know it will just get busier! I really can’t complain because it’s all good stuff!

Last night, I went to a book signing by Frances Mayes in Raleigh NC with a few friends. Frances spoke about her new book, A Place in The World, we had some delicious bites and it was such a lovely evening! I’m excited to cozy up by the fire and start reading…however, it won’t happen until next week because I’m flying to NYC in the morning! I hope you’ll follow along tomorrow and Saturday on my Instagram stories as I explore and EAT (hopefully it won’t rain too much)! I’m so excited to be back in New York because it’s been almost a year!

About my outfit…

More and more lately, I’ve been relying on my capsule wardrobe pieces because they make getting dressed in the morning so much easier! One of the pieces I reach for often is this utility jacket! I’ve had this jacket for several years (similar jacket here) and it’s always perfect when I need an extra layer and extra style! I’ve paired the jacket with a black short sleeve sweater, tan suede booties and cropped straight leg jeans. My bag is also several years old and I’ve suddenly been wearing it with everything! I’ve linked a similar bag that is soo cute!

For more Capsule Wardrobe pieces be sure to check out this post! I think it’s really helpful to have a separate section in your closet to store these pieces so that you can easily reach for them and put outfits together easily!

Coming soon on the blog…

I’ve been working hard on several travel blog posts! My Paris trip was a whirlwind, but I learned a few things that I think are worth sharing so that will be coming very soon! Also, I’ve done a city guide for Richmond that you’ll love! My daughter and new son-in-law recently moved to Richmond and it’s becoming one of my favorite cities! I also can’t wait to share about my trip last weekend to Staunton, Virginia!

In addition to all of that, I’m in full holiday mode over here so I’ll be sharing more gifts, decorating ideas and recipes that you love! I’ll hope you’ll check back often and share these posts! Thank you so much for reading today!
