Winter Style - Faux Fur Jacket..How I Wore It

"Alice laughed: "There's no use trying," she said; "one can't believe impossible things." "I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was younger, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast."

What a week this has been! I’m amazed that it’s Wednesday already…where has the week gone!

Today, we had snow, sleet, freezing rain and it was miserably grey and cold. I had planned to finish my Christmas shopping, but needless to say, that didn’t happen because I just didn’t want to be out in the weather.

I had a hair appointment at 10 am, and thought about cancelling, but I’m so glad I didn’t. Every 4 weeks, I get a keratin treatment and a glaze (toner) every 2 weeks. My hair is finally getting healthy and I’m taking such good care of it. I think that I’ll let it grow and have long hair in my late 50’s because…why not!

I’ve felt somewhat frustrated this week and I don’t think it really has anything to do with COVID. Of course, I want to go places and have my life back, but all is well here and I’m so beyond blessed to have a beautiful and safe home to live in. Our daughter who lives in Boston is home and it’s so nice to spend time with her. We make yummy dinners and drink wine and have great conversation.

I’m frustrated because I know something needs to change in my life and I’m not sure exactly what, or exactly how. I’m honestly trying to share more of my life as it really is on Instagram and engage with people on a more personal level and that feels good.

I want to share more of “my why” on Crazy Blonde Life. For the past 10 years, my spirituality has deepened and lately, things that I never understood have become very clear. I think that’s why I don’t feel stressed about what we’re going through. Of course, I have compassion for the people who are suffering and I want to help in any that I can, but inside, I feel a sense of peace that I’ve never felt before.

I believe that meditation and putting myself in a place of gratitude every morning has helped more than anything I could have done. Everything is energy and the more positive energy that we can put into this world, the better off everyone will be. One person can make a difference just by being grateful and happy…in spite of what’s going on around them. After all..a grateful heart is a magnet for miracles.

I was listening to Michael Beckwith on YouTube the other day and he was talking about the queen in Alice in Wonderland. He said that the queen challenged Alice to think of 6 impossible things before breakfast. That resonated with me so much and I’ve been trying to imagine 5 things that might just happen every morning. “What If” is a huge thing…”what If” every child could be fed and warm and loved…”what if” COVID could go away…”what if” everyone could get along. Every great idea starts with “what if”! Just putting it out there and wondering is a starting point for every “what if” and I say “why not” think about “what if”? You never know what miracles are going to happen, but one thing is for sure…if you don’t believe in miracles, they will never happen.

When you put yourself in a place of true gratitude, you allow Divine guidance to dance with you and that’s a beautiful thing! There is a place called Wonderland!

Ok…now that I’ve said all of that, it’s on to the practical! What to wear with a creamy white faux fur jacket? The options are endless and the warmth is real! I’m styling my cute jacket from Abercrombie two ways in this post and the best part…it comes in 4 colors and it’s on sale for $70!
