Wrapped in Warmth - Thoughts on Love and Understanding

I've been reflecting on how much fear shapes people's reactions right now, especially online. When we encounter views different from our own, it's so easy to respond from a place of fear rather than love. I experienced this firsthand on Instagram this week, where people have been unkind simply because my perspective differs from theirs. But I keep coming back to something fundamental and that is…fear is the opposite of love, and we need more love and truth in the world now more than ever.

What I'm learning is that we all need to speak from a place of kindness and compassion, not division. Women especially have such power to build community, to be that soft place to land for one another, to nurture understanding even when we disagree. Being unkind to someone because you don't share their views doesn't move us forward…it only creates more separation when what we desperately need is unity. My daughter reminded me recently that people are finding their way, and we all deserve to feel loved in that process. That's the energy I want to put into the world…not judgment or fear, but genuine love, grace, and the willingness to hold space for one another even in our differences.

And yes, I'm choosing to show up joyfully as I get dressed each day - because joyful fashion as a form of rebellion means that I’m refusing to let fear and division dim my light. Finding beauty and expressing myself with intention is part of living from love, not fear.

Get ready for lots of color and fun (and animal prints) as spring approaches!

I'm bundled up in this gorgeous LaMarque coat that's an ideal choice for cold weather because it's so luxurious, warm, and makes me feel amazing every time I slip it on. Perfect for snowy days like this one! I paired it with my favorite skinny flare jeans that elongate the legs and create such a flattering silhouette, especially when worn with these stunning Veronica Beard brown suede booties. Underneath, I'm wearing a classic black turtleneck…a timeless layering piece that works for any winter capsule wardrobe. And of course, I had to carry my statement faux fur bag (how much fun is this bag?!), which adds that perfect touch of luxury. This entire look embodies what I mean by joyful fashion as a form of rebellion! It’s about choosing pieces that make you feel beautiful and confident, even (or especially) when you're standing in the snow. It's about creating a winter outfit that's functional AND fabulous, proving that cold weather style doesn't have to be boring. Life’s too short for boring!

I hope you’re all staying warm and having a wonderful weekend and yes…spring is coming!

As always…thanks so much for reading!
