Your Permission Slip to Shop
Every year I tell myself I'm going to be restrained about spring shoppingβ¦and every year, spring comes in with too many amazing pieces and I just canβt help myself! Iβm so ready for warm weather and there has been very little restraint!
What I'm seeing right now is a spring that actually has opinions. Color is back with zero apologies. Texture is everywhereβ¦woven leather, mesh, suede, raffia. And there is so much good jewelryβ¦statement pieces that make you look like you've been collecting for years! I'm genuinely excited, and these six collages are basically a visual diary of everything I'm either buying, have already bought, or am trying to talk myself out of.
Good news: spring 2026 is fully on your side. After seasons of minimalism and muted palettes, the pendulum has officially swung. Texture, proportion, and a sense of play are the order of the dayβ¦think woven leather, raffia, suede, mesh, and silhouettes that have something to say. Basically, everything I put in these collages is fun, classic and right on trend at the same time!
This fabulous Hunter Bell embroidered maxi dress is just what I want to be wearing right now! It's perfect for dressing up or down and I decided to style it casually here with Fraulein red cowboy boots, a jade beaded necklace, and a honey yellow woven bag from Ulla Johnson (love this beautiful yellow).
The embroidered suede jacket from Sea is the star of the show here! Itβs endlessly versatile and will be great going into fall! Pair it with a simple white midi dress (or skirt), woven Mary Janes, and a leather trimmed raffia clutch for an unexpected look thatβs a little boho. The chunky stone necklace from Lizzy Fortunato strikes just the right balance and will work with many other looks all spring and summer!
I saw this Zimmerman polka-dot cargo midi skirt on the Tuckernuck website and could not stop thinking about it! It has a high waist, A-line flare and gold button detailβ¦and the color combo is one of my favorites. The cropped white poplin shirt keeps the look simple and crisp. Raffia pointed toe mules, gold earrings and a leather trimmed raffia bag complete the look in the best way (the yellow Ulla Johnson bag would also be great with this skirt)! This outfit is filled with basic pieces that you can mix and match.
The chartreuse cashmere sweater (also love this cardigan from J. Crew) is great for spring, but also works well in summer thrown over a tank top on a chilly evening and goes into fall and winter as well! And in case you hadnβt noticed, bandana prints are everywhere and this cute tote bag adds so much personality! The brown mesh Mary Janes keep the whole look grounded and the beaded necklace adds just the right finishing touch. This is a great everyday outfit formula that works!
Iβm in love with these wide leg jeansβ¦they fit like a dream and are so flattering. Perfectly paired with a classic fair Isle cardigan, that same fabulous bandana tote, a red heart charm necklace and red suede sneakers (these are so good and come in lots of colors). This look is pure fun!
Another fun, happy look to wear right now! Iβm loving the white mesh flats that go with everything, a pink crewneck sweater to layer or wear on itβs own, and these wide leg jeansβ¦theyβre my current favorites! Iβm not sure how many bandana bags I might needβ¦but just in case, thank goodness this line is reasonably priced! Also loving the gold heart necklace to wear with everything!
Iβm including a boutique below containing everything from this post and a few other items that caught my eye, but make sure to look through what you already have in your closet to recreate these looks and then shop if you like!!
My daughterβs 40th birthday party was here last night and it was so much fun, butβ¦it was a late night! I slept in just a little and am late getting this post out! Iβll be sharing pictures and recipes from the party very soon! For right nowβ¦Iβm headed downstairs to Swiffer the floors!
My daughters are in town and weβre all going shopping and out to lunch and I couldnβt be happier about that!
Happy Saturday and thanks so much for reading today!
