Bubble Skirts…A Trend Worth Trying This Summer
Whether you're a trend-spotter or just someone who can't resist a good fashion frenzy, you've definitely seen bubble skirts popping up everywhere this season! Just the name alone makes me picture little girls in adorable socks and Mary Janes, all ready for a fancy tea party - sugar, spice, and everything nice! But hold onto your petticoats—bubble skirts have graduated from kiddie couture and are now strutting their stuff on fashion runways everywhere.
Remember those puffball minis from the 1980s?…well, we've come a long way—now you can rock a bubble skirt that's as modest as a Sunday dress or as grand as a ballgown for your next Met Gala soirée. And everything in between! You can find the bubble that’s right for you!
Since most of us (including myself) are most likely leaning toward a more conservative bubble…pair yours with cute sandals and fabulous jewelry for a fun, trendy summer look.
My bubble maxi is from Loft and so well priced that you can dabble in this trend without spending a lot of money! I’m loving the sun baked brown color, (also comes in cream) paired with gold shoes and a gold flecked and brown leather bag as well as a beaded necklace from Mango (under $50) that adds a nice little punch to the look!
My bag is a summer favorite from BTB Los Angeles (love this one too) and my sandals were a birthday gift from Baldy this year (yes, I did pick them out)!

We had to get up and out early this morning because there are so many people on Bald Head Island! We ended up taking a water taxi over to Southport because it the ferry was so crowded and I’ll have to say that it’s definitely the way to go! It was faster and the dogs loved it!
