It’s Officially Summer…Here’s What to Wear!
Summer brings a shift in what I’m craving as far as fashion…saturated soft colors, natural textures like linen and easy-to-wear, yet chic looks that fit the activities of the day!
The looks I’m sharing in today’s Daily Indulgence are just the thing for casual dinners on vacation or at home, lunches and lounging by the pool or heading out for a day of shopping or errands. I’m including a white swimsuit that you’ve seen before several times because it goes with any coverup and white is always chic!
As always, use these looks as inspiration for pulling outfits together from your closet and then fill in where necessary!
Summer calls for cool linen fabrics and this linen dress in butter yellow (I own it in light blue) is gorgeous with citrusy green sunglasses and a pop of turquoise from a beaded necklace. I love the cute flower embroidered summer raffia tote and the transparent strap sandals (love the heel) and white earrings will go with everything in your wardrobe!
Another piece I own in a different color way…is this fabulous striped coverup and so well priced at $30! Mine coverup is a light tan and white (also comes in 5 other colors), but I really love the contrast of the black and white with a black swimsuit and mixed metal hoop earrings. Jelly sandals are a must for a day at the pool or beach and these have a definite designer vibe at a fraction of the cost! Carry a roomy raffia bag that’s big enough to hold your sunscreen (Revision makes one of the best) and sunnies.
This dreamy long floral coverup looks so beautiful with a white swimsuit (also love this two piece suit - bottoms here and here is the matching swimsuit top and bottoms)! Gold jelly sandals work so well with this look and get your glow on with Kopari Body Glow Sunscreen. I always carry lip balm and sunglasses in my beach bag and never go to the beach (or pool, or anywhere for that matter) without earrings…
This fun heart necklace has been in my cart for a few days and I really want it…it’s perfect for summer!
Oh my goodness these green floral pants are calling my name and how cute is this white bubble hem top?! I’ve been loving green lately in everything from home decor to clothes! The seashell necklace couldn’t be any more summery and a bright lipstick is just right with this look! We all need a pearl embellished basket bag…right?
I did purchase this colorful crochet coverup and this swimsuit to go with it…although it looks so amazing with the white swimsuit! A raffia bag and sandals are perfect with this look and the jade earrings pull it all together!
I envision this look for a casual July 4th outfit, but the pieces are so versatile that you’ll wear them with everything! Tie front jeans are right on trend as are studded flat sandals. The same heart necklace makes another appearance and is so cute with the gold hoops.
