Roasted Sausage & Peppers with Balsamic Drizzle
The easiest dinner you'll make all week!
Last night went live on Instagram for my weekly cooking series and I made this delicious sheet pan Sausage & Pepper recipe. This is the kind of meal that makes everyone think you worked harder than you did but it’s only about ten minutes of actual effort. This recipe is so delicious and has earned a permanent spot in our dinner rotation! I used a local French Garlic sausage from Left Bank Butchery…if you’re local, definitely go and check it out! Everything in the shop is local and they have a huge selection of meats. For this recipe, since the sausage is the star of the show, it’s important to use the best sausage you can find.
Toss peppers and onions with olive oil, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning…nestle in the sausages, and roast until everything is caramelized and slightly charred at the edges for about 35-40 minutes. Your whole kitchen will smell incredible. Then comes the finishing touch…a drizzle of Flamingo Estate balsamic vinegar (or another really good balsamic vinegar). This isn't your grocery store balsamic…it's thick, syrupy, almost sweet, and it pulls the whole dish together in a way that feels slightly ridiculous for how easy it is. Don’t skip this step!
Make this on a Tuesday when you don't want to think too hard about dinner. Make it on a Saturday when you want something that looks impressive without the effort. Either way…get the crusty bread. You’re going to want every last drop of that balsamic-kissed pan sauce, and a fork simply won't do.
Thanks so much for reading today and let me know if you make this recipe!
