Color Refresh for Your Home & Wardrobe - Amazon Style
I believe I mentioned in a previous post that I realized my blog wasn’t looking as good as I wanted it to on the mobile version (when you’re looking on your phone), so I’m trying a new format today that hopefully will make everything easier to see. I think it’s also more visually appealing on the desktop version as well!
I suppose today is the day for everything being different, but life can get monotonous if you don’t shake things up a little!
As you know, I’ve been in New York for the past several days and a change of scenery always gets my creative juices flowing! I was there with my daughter Rebecca and we had some amazing food, did a little shopping, and walked for miles looking at the sights! There is so much culture and color in New York and I always leave with ideas!
Today’s “Daily Indulgence” is a study in color! I’ve found some great items on Amazon and color coded everything to make it fun! So…whether you’re looking for the perfect blue dress, or a green lamp for your living room, I’ve got you covered and the best part, it can probably arrive on your doorstep tomorrow!

Shades of Blue
Blue is making it’s way into our home and my wardrobe more and more lately! I’m a little obsessed with the embroidered pillows that add a pop of color and fun to any room!
I wore dresses the whole time I was in New York (it seems dresses are trending), and wish I had ordered the cute little denim number in the collage below to throw in my suitcase! I also did order the cropped sweater with the front zipper in a cream color. I love it with high waisted jeans for a simple but cute summer look.
Chocolate to Mocha
I won’t stop wearing sandals with dresses until the weather really starts to get chilly, but make the sandals a gorgeous tan suede please! Brown is so perfect in summer paired with white and it transitions beautifully into fall, so why not add a pair of earrings (these are so cute and less expensive) or a great acrylic bangle to your outfit! I’m also a little obsessed with the tiger-eye necklace…so affordable and interesting! I own the chocolate brown bag and loooove it!
Bold Reds
I’ve heard it said that you should have a touch of red in every room…even if it’s just a coffee table book! Bold color is also trending for fall 2025 so why not wear a red dress, sweater or top…it’s an easy way to be on trend without looking trendy! I’m also loving the red accessories that look great with just about every color!
From Moss Green to Lime Green
Green has been my go-to this summer…I think I’ve bought more green pieces this year than ever before! It feels so fresh in a limy shade, but make it more mossy and it immediately feels more cozy. Our home is filled with green…from the living room sofa, to candles on the coffee table!
The Chicest Black
Black is always a good idea, whether it’s home accessories or clothing! Black can ground a room and it always adds a touch of drama, or elegance to your wardrobe…depending on how you decide to wear it! I would say the black feather handbag definitely falls on the dramatic side and it’s such a show stopper! Throw a black vest over a white short sleeve tee for an easy transitional look! Add a new throw pillow to instantly refresh a room! Black gives you endless options!
Crazy Color & Pattern
I do love color and the pieces below run the gamut from bold to more subdued! The embroidered pillow is on it’s way to me and I’m seriously considering the orange acrylic bag. I have several of these and they look so expensive! I couldn’t resist throwing in the adorable Mackenzie Childs pumpkin!
