The Midlife Edit

A new business is born…

I’ve spent many hours over the past several months, learning how to become a life coach and mentor. I’ve learned how to take the story of my life and the wisdom that has come from the things I’ve lived and help women get through challenging situations, past traumas and bumps in the road and live a more fulfilling life.

In my coaching, I don’t teach the spiritual truths I’ve learned as much as I teach through them. Meaning, you must come to your own truth and have your own ah-ha moments. These are the moments when suddenly, everything you’ve been hearing makes sense in your heart and your head. You’ll find that you get addicted to uncovering layer upon layer of “stuff” to get to your true essence and at that point, you only want to learn more…it’s a life long journey.

I’ve decided to name my coaching and mentoring enterprise, The Midlife Edit. My desire is to work with women that have been on a path of self discovery and know where they want to go, but just need a little help getting to the next step. We all have within us, the ability to do anything we can dream and if you’re dreaming something, it’s not random…that dream is meant for you!

I’m sure by now you all know about my two Journey of Becoming programs which were written for women in midlife. I loved writing them and I know they have so much valuable information to help women discover their purpose, get out their own way and create the life they’ve been wanting to live.

I’ve decided to combine the 21 day program and the 30 day program into one fabulous program that is all video with homework and meditations as well as 4 live Zoom calls designed to give group coaching and talk about any issues that come up while doing the program. I want to offer a program that is the very best I can give and I know video is the best way.

This program is for you if you’re a woman who knows that life is supposed to be joyful and fulfilling. There will always be “life”…issues that come up and problems to be resolved, but as I’ve said before, it’s never about the situation, it’s about who you are when you’re dealing with the situation.

I can say with 100% of my heart and soul that the outside circumstances in your life are a reflection of what’s going on inside your head! When you finally decide to take the time to do the work on the inside and learn how to fall in love with yourself and truly appreciate and honor the fact that you were put here for a purpose, your outside circumstances begin to change.

In case I’m confusing you by talking about coaching and my new Journey program…Journey of Becoming will begin on August 15 and in addition, I am offering private coaching now. Please let me know if you have any questions about the program or coaching! I would love to help you get to the next level.

At this point in my life, I can truly look back and know that everything I’ve been through happened for me….not to me. I had to go through it all to get where I am today. I’m turning my pain into purpose and now it is not only a gift to me, but to whom ever I can help by telling the story of my Midlife Edit.

This is a new season in my life…

Every day, I pray for “right next steps” and I’m constantly trying to stay present during my day so that I don’t miss nudges from the Universe. Creating a beautiful experience for anyone who visits Crazy Blonde Life and making my programs and coaching the very best they can be is very important to me. My love for our home, my marriage, and my relationships with my children combined with striving to create beauty in every day, are all reflected in what I call my Crazy Blonde Life! Thank you all so much for being a part of it!

About the picture…

The dress I’m wearing in this picture was purchased in a small boutique in Boston last summer while visiting my daughter Rebecca. I originally bought it for Rebecca’s bridesmaids luncheon, but decided to wear something else. I love the dress and wanted to have it photographed so I decided to replicate my friend Carla Coulson’s Girls in Bloom photography series. I call mine Woman in Bloom. The photo was taken in Winston Salem NC by my friend and photographer Sara-Anne Caudle. Sara-Anne photographed Rebecca’s wedding and will be doing more of my photos going forward. I’m excited about this new season in my life and very curious about how I will bloom!

And lastly…

I wanted to update you all on my Project 50 Day Challenge. Today is day 22 of no alcohol and I’m really proud of myself. The other parts of the challenge have come more easily and I knew the alcohol would be the most difficult part from the beginning. Not drinking has given me several gifts. The first gift being the gift of clarity about a few things in my life that needed working on…my relationship with money and clarity about how to embody the things I’m teaching in a bigger way. As I said above, this life is a journey of uncovering layers of things that need to come to the surface so that they can be healed. Not drinking has given me more of an opportunity to spend clear headed time really doing more deep inner work through meditation, journaling and reading. I’m also just damn proud of myself for doing this! It’s such a good feeling to keep your word to yourself.

Thank you all so much for reading today and please let me know if you have any questions and as always…I LOVE your comments!
