A Southern Valentine
Setting the table for Valentine’s Day…a celebration of gracious living, thoughtful gifting, and everyday elegance.
I’ve always believed there’s something so special about taking the time to set a beautiful table for the people you love. It instantly turns a gathering into an occasion. For this table, I pulled out my favorite romantic china (a vintage set I just found at an antique store), polished my silver teapots to use as flower vases scattered across the table, and reached for my most treasured vintage glassware. My dining room, lined in Zuber wallpaper, is a space filled with memories…of laughter, celebrations, and moments that linger long after the last candle is blown out. It’s the kind of room that invites you to stay a little longer, as if you instinctively know you’re making a memory.
I wear my VAHAN Jewelry every day. It’s easy, familiar, and part of my routine. But on special occasions, when a moment feels intentional…when the table is set and the candles are lit, it really stands out. It adds a quiet sense of elegance, bringing something a little extra and marking the occasion in a beautiful way.
To me, that’s what makes VAHAN so special. The pieces feel refined, timeless, and beautifully feminine. With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, VAHAN Jewelry is a gift that feels thoughtful and personal…something meant to be worn, loved, and remembered for years to come. Just like the memories made while wearing it.
My ensemble above includes a faux leather skirt from Brochu Walker, a very old pink cashmere sweater (similar here and here) and suede boots from Staud…
There’s a natural connection between the way we dress, the way we set a table, and the way we welcome people into our lives. To me, it’s all part of living graciously…choosing beautiful things, caring for them, and using them often rather than saving them for “someday.” I hope these images inspire you to pull out your favorite china, polish the silver, dress with intention, and create moments that feel a little more special, even on an ordinary day. Beauty has a way of setting the tone for how we gather and how we remember.
Here’s to living beautifully!
~XOXO Suzanne
