Everyday Go-To Bag for Fall & Styling Boyfriend Jeans

Happy Tuesday! Baldy and I had a great time visiting The Blackburn Inn and Staunton Virginia over the weekend! The weather was off and on, but just getting out of town and discovering some new things was so nice! The little town of Staunton is beautiful and we had some amazing food! I have a blog post coming soon in case you’re planning a little getaway!

It takes me a while to jump on the bandwagon when it comes to changing jean styles! I’m finally comfortable wearing the high waisted styles, even though they aren’t my favorites because i’m short waisted, and I’m really loving straight leg jeans as long as they’re cropped (my legs are short). The style that I’m just now starting to embrace is the boyfriend look. What I will say is that they are so comfortable but not as flattering as other styles…at least for me. I think there is a time when they certainly are appropriate and maybe this defeats the purpose…but I like them with a heel…again because I’m short. If I wear boyfriend jeans with flats or sneakers, I look lost in them.

Because there are so many different style jeans right now, the best thing to do is figure out which ones look best on your body type and then style them in whatever way you like. I will say that even though skinny jeans seem to be out fashion at the moment, they still have their place, especially during winter with tall boots. I do not care for the wider leg pants tucked into boots, but that’s just my opinion!

Now that I’ve given you all the in’s and out’s about my opinions on jean styles, let me talk about this fabulous bag from Quilted Koala! This is one of my favorite Quilted Koala bag bags because of the versatile color and the roominess! I could put anything and everything in this bag and be ready for the day! So many times, I need an extra camera lens or my computer and this bag will hold it all! It also has a large pocket inside to hold all those little things that otherwise float around in the bottom of your bag! These Quilted Koala bags are so well made, and of course, I love supporting a company that is run by women! This bag comes in a smaller size and other colors making it a very affordable and coveted holiday gift!

It’s been so warm here over the past week that many of the pumpkins I had on the front porch have rotted! There are still a few hanging on and the weather is supposed to be more seasonal and even cool for the next few weeks so maybe I won’t have to replace all the pumpkins! I always leave them out until Thanksgiving and then…the day after Thanksgiving, the holiday decorations come out!

I’m so excited because I’m going to New York for one night on Friday to have dinner with a fellow influencer…Lisatinthecity! I love meeting new friends and this should be quite an adventure! I’m arriving in NYC at 10:30 on Friday because I want time to do a little shopping, post a few Instagram stories and just knock around for a while! I love a few hours alone in a beautiful city so be sure to watch my stories on Friday to see what I’m up to…I can see a trip to Bergdorf Goodman in my future!
