Beyond pumpkins and costumes, fall is also about the things we do, cook, watch, and enjoy…those small rituals that turn an ordinary day into something memorable!

When the temperatures start to drop, it’s time to head to the kitchen! I love fall food….think rich hearty pots of soup (chili, butternut squash, black bean), pumpkin bread straight from the oven, mac & cheese, apple crisp and hot toddies! These are the flavors are that make fall feel so warm and inviting and I always look forward to that first bowl of butternut squash soup!

There is simply nothing like the season of autumn—cool mornings, a soft cardigan, and a signal to slow down before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. This season is all about creating little pockets of comfort at home, whether it’s curling up with a book, adding a few fall touches to your décor, or sipping something warm and comforting.
Halloween isn’t just one night—it’s a seasonal vibe. Now that my grandchildren are old enough to really enjoy Halloween, I want to decorate for them! They love it when I create a spooky dining room table and add pumpkins and skeletons to the front porch! It makes me so happy to be able to create memories for them and… a few simple touches can turn your home into the perfect mix of cozy and creepy. These painted pumpkins are more cozy than creepy, but making them would be a great activity with grandchildren!
Whether you’re sipping a spiced latte, watching a nostalgic Halloween movie, cooking a hearty soup, or decorating with pumpkins and twinkle lights, fall is the perfect time to slow down and savor life’s little moments. I hope these ideas, recipes, and finds inspire you to create your own cozy corners and festive traditions this season. Here’s to crunchy leaves, spooky nights, and all the magic that fall brings.
And a few other things for fall you’ll love!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post…thanks so much for reading!
