Fall With Hunter Bell

This afternoon I slipped into one of my favorite fall looks…a Hunter Bell floral quilted barn jacket over cream jeans from Veronica Beard and an ecru sweater from Brochu Walker. The jacket has this great tan corduroy trim on the collar and sleeves with toggle buttons that make it feel both classic and easy. I paired it with tan suede booties from Brochu Walker.

Amos and Archie were, as always, right there with me on the patio, keeping me company while the late afternoon light softened everything around us. It felt like one of those simple, beautiful moments that make you pause and appreciate where you are.

I knew when I saw this amazing jacket that I had to have it! It’s everything I want in a fall jacket and it’s going to be the one i reach for every day! As I’ve gotten older, I’m leaning into more pattern and color as well as pattern mixing! I’m excited to style this jacket in different ways…it just makes me happy!

The bag I’m carrying is from Tory Burch’s Lee Radziwill Collection, purchased during a trip to New York with my daughters. It holds such special memories, and I love carrying it. While I can’t link the exact bag, I’ve shared one below in the same style—so versatile and timeless! I also own the smaller version in two different colors, and they’re equally fabulous.

Tory Burch is having a Fall Event Sale and offering 25% off a $200+ purchase and $30% off a $500+ purchase!

There’s something about the light in fall that looks different…it’s dreamy and soft in the late afternoon. Even though it’s still warm here, you can tell fall is setting in…the leaves are just starting to turn and everything feels richer. Fall has a glow that seems to be a signal to slow down and notice the beauty that surrounds us.

Now that summer is officially over, I’m trying to embrace the idea of slowing down…making soup, reading, changing out my closet for the cooler weather and planning a little for the season ahead!

We have one more trip in October…we’re going to Costa Rica for our anniversary and I’m also planning for that…I’ve never been and I’m so excited! We will, of course take our annual trip to New York in December…it feels far away but I know it’ll be here before I have a chance to blink!

Julie Vos has been my staple for jewelry for a while now and I’ve also discovered a brand called Hart that I’m loving. I’ve been layering my necklaces…I think it’s so interesting to mix textures and lengths and it’s a great way to dress up jeans and a tee. I’ve also been piling on the bracelets - I’m becoming more and more of a maximalist in every way it seems!

*You can purchase charms to go on the pearl necklace shown below.

My little granddaughter Stella is staying with me this weekend! She arrived last night and is still sleeping soundly at 7:30 am! I woke up extra early to finish up this post and publish my Substack which includes two recipes that you don’t want to miss! Be sure to check it out! And…if you haven’t already popped into the Crazy Blonde Life Favorites page…I’ve added so many new things!

Thanks so much for reading today!
