Kentucky Hot Brown Sliders Recipe - Perfect Super Bowl Party Appetizer
Today, I'm reposting this amazing recipe for Kentucky Hot Brown Sliders that are perfect to make for a Super Bowl party and OMG y’all are gonna love them!
These sliders are a fun, bite-sized twist on the iconic Kentucky Hot Brown, an open-faced sandwich that was created in 1926 by Chef Fred Schmidt at the Brown Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky. Back then, the hotel's supper club drew over 1,200 guests each evening, and when they grew tired of the standard ham and eggs, Chef Schmidt invented this decadent dish featuring turkey, bacon, and a rich Mornay sauce. Nearly a century later, this Louisville legend is still going strong!
My slider version keeps all that deliciousness…turkey, bacon, cheese, and Mornay sauce, but adds a Worcestershire butter on top that makes them absolutely addictive. They're easy, delicious, and a real crowd pleaser. Be sure to make extra and watch them disappear!
