A Special Dress from Milly
Milly is a brand I wore frequently years ago, and it has recently begun to re-enter my radar over the past couple of years. The brand experienced some financial difficulties and was acquired by another company not long ago, leading to a rebranding aimed at a stronger comeback. Its price point falls between J.Crew and more high-end designers. The pieces are well-crafted, vibrant, and versatile—appealing to a range of age groups depending on the style.
When Milly reached out to me for a collaboration, I was beyond thrilled and have fallen in love with everything on the website! The dress I’m wearing here is truly a favorite because of the fit and the bold color! It’s perfect for a summer vacation and definitely makes a statement! For reference, I’m almost 5’4” and wearing a size 0 in this dress. It’s long on me so I chose the gold platform sandals because I didn’t have time to get it hemmed before our beach trip. I would like to be able to wear this gorgeous dress with a lower heel so I’ll have it hemmed a couple of inches! Other than that, it fits perfectly!
I accessorized with very old turquoise earrings from Slane. After I moved my things in to the new closet, I discovered some jewelry that I hadn’t worn in quite a while and I’m trying to incorporate it into my outfits! My mother-of-pearl necklace is from Julie Vos and I wear it with everything!

I’m moving slowly this morning because Archie was sick in the night and had to have a bath at 3 am! I won’t go into the details, but needless to say, it was an unpleasant experience for both of us! I’ve taken him to the vet and they tell me he’s fine but it just seems odd. Has anyone had a similar puppy experience? All day long yesterday, he was fine…running around and being his usual crazy self and then he got sick in the middle of the night! I’ve been giving him a prescription dog food made with chicken and rice! I’m wondering if it was the boat ride day before yesterday or that he’s just a puppy and eats unknown things when I’m not looking (oh my)! I would love any advice!
