Meet Emily McCarthy
Color, Confidence, and a Top That Does All the Talking!
I'm always on the lookout for brands that lead with color and conviction, and Emily McCarthy does exactly that. She's a graphic designer by trade and a Southerner by birth and it shows in every single piece. What started in 2012 with a love for bold, expressive prints has grown into a full women's apparel and lifestyle collection, now carried by more than 400 retail partners nationwide. Everything is designed, fitted, and styled in her Savannah, Georgia studio…right down to the exact shade of every thread, the custom-etched patterns on the buttons, and the color-matched finish on every zipper.
The top I'm wearing is the perfect introduction to the brand. The mixed print with bold red and pink stripes layered with polka dots, is pure Emily McCarthy. The puff sleeves are voluminous without being costumey, and the cropped length sits perfectly at the waist of a high-rise flare.
I paired it with the Beverly Skinny Flare from Veronica Beard…white denim, clean and leg elongating, and the combination is exactly right. The rattan tote bag is also from Veronica Beard, which gives the whole look that easy, warm-weather polish. My platform sandals are from Steve Madden and they are surprisingly comfortable given the height. The sunnies are from Amazon and I’m loving the pink!
This is a brand worth knowing…Southern-made, women-owned, and built on the belief that color is never too much. I’ve linked the pieces I’m wearing along with some other favorites from Emily McCarthy in my ShopMy boutique below.
I think this is how spring dressing should feel…effortless, a little loud, and completely yours!
Thanks for reading today!
