Packing for Richmond Virginia

I'm so excited about my upcoming trip to Richmond! Even though the weather will still be chilly, I wanted my outfits to feel vibrant and full of personality rather than falling into that dreary winter rut we can all get stuck in. I pulled together these looks thinking about all the fun things we have planned…lunch spots, museums, dinner out, and exploring The Fan with my daughters and grandkids. When I’m traveling with my grandchildren, I want to look put-together but my outfits still need to be practical. I think these outfits strike that balance perfectly!

I didn't hold back on the prints and pops of color this time around. There's definitely a playful energy to these combinations, from animal prints to polka dots to stripes, all anchored by pieces that feel warm enough for February temperatures. The red bags add a cheerful touch, and I love how the metallic boots bring just the right amount of visual interest…plus they’re comfortable. When I'm chasing after a two-year-old or keeping up with the boys, I want to feel confident and comfortable in what I'm wearing, and these outfits do exactly that while still looking stylish and fun.

Even though we're still dealing with cold weather, I'm not letting it keep me from adding color to my outfits. These little pops of brightness…the red bags, the prints, the metallic boots…make getting dressed more fun and help me get through these last weeks of winter. Spring can't come soon enough, but until it does, I'm bringing my own color wherever I go.

Thanks so much for reading today!
