Summer is dress season…there are so many events from weddings to summer cocktail parties to dinner out at the beach and dresses are just the thing! I’ve found some great dresses at equally great prices that will work for many occasions as well as accessories to complete the looks so you’ll be summer ready in no time!

Where to begin with my cart…it’s mostly filled with decor items and fashion finds and I every time I purchase something, it seems that I add something else! It’s hard to be looking around on Amazon so often, because inevitably, you’re going to find lots of things you want…
By now I’m sure you’ve noticed that I love books of all kinds…decor books, travel books, cookbooks, etc. The books in my cart include a French Charcuterie book that has the most fabulous recipes and I do have a passion for charcuterie. I’ve also been looking for a couple of rattan chairs to go outside on our patio to compliment a 1950’s Palm Beach table that I just had painted the most gorgeous color of blue (post coming soon about this). The Rattan Book is so interesting and has great outdoor and inspiration for using rattan furniture!
You can never have too many colors of linen napkins to compliment your table settings and these yellow ones are calling my name for a summer dinner party! The rattan candle holder will be perfect on an outdoor table…
I have purchased so much art in the last few weeks to go in our new space and a few of the pieces really deserve their own light. I love the picture light below because it’s wireless so I don’t have to worry about the cord.
I have an obsession with acrylic furniture because I think it adds a contemporary element to our historic house. The house could get stuffy very easily without a few contemporary light fixtures and and other contemporary pieces. Acrylic is a somewhat more affordable option and gives just the look I’m wanting! The acrylic book stand will hold a rotating display of coffee table books depending on the season!
I’m planning on showing up at our local farmer’s market often this summer and a great tote will hold my veggies and flowers. The flower book will hopefully provide inspiration for arranging the flowers! I just wish I could buy everything all at once!
As far as fashion goes, I’m a shoe girl through and through and summer shoes are my faves! The green raffia sandals are a little pricy but fabulous and the plain rattan ones will go with everything!
Who knew I would be wanting jelly sandals at the age of 62, but they are so on trend and soooo comfortable! The black ones are Bottega knock offs and I just really like the clear ones!
I’m planning to wear the white crochet top with a white linen maxi skirt for a crisp summer look and the black swing top will be perfect with white or black jeans (or shorts).
Ok…let’s talk about the David Yurman dupes below. These jewelry pieces are so good that I’ll wear them right along with my real David Yurman…why not!? Turquoise is so summery and will go with the jewelry mix to add that summer touch! And…you know I want that cute heart necklace, I just haven’t pulled the trigger yet!
I purchased the acrylic bag in a beautiful green and love it so I think I’ll just go ahead and get the pink one as well!
