When Life Gives You Lemons
What’s not to love about a linen dress made with a beautiful lemon print fabric? This maxi dress from Benaar LA is one of my favorites for summer and would be perfect for most any event from a daytime wedding to a garden party or to brunch. It’s so easy to wear and so pretty. I styled my dress with a pair of older sandals from Loeffler Randall (similar here), the cutest little bag from Sensi Studio, Jo Malone Frangipani Flower Cologne, adorable acrylic rings from Amazon (these come in a pack of 12 and are so much fun), Julie Vos earrings and cream cat-eye sunnies.
Benaar is a favorite brand for me…the prices are very reasonable, they have the cutest pieces that you won’t find anywhere else and the quality is amazing. I first discovered Benaar in the fall of last year and have posted several times…this outfit is one of my favorites for summer and this gorgeous jacket is what started it all! I also wore this pretty white dress for Derby Day!

It is hot, hot, hot and so humid here! We’re expecting a high of 97 today, but it feels so much hotter because of the humidity. I'll be starting to pack for the beach - we’ll be leaving at the end of the month for 3 weeks and I’m finally ready to get out of town! I’ve just wanted to be home and get everything put back together since the renovation. We actually still have painters here but hopefully they’ll finish up today. I also have someone coming to hang window treatments in the bedroom and that’s so exciting…it’s all such a process, but the details are the fun part! I’ve found some great art and it’s starting to come together! My basement is the final project - we used it as a storage area during our renovation and there are so many things left down there that I have no idea what to do with. I know it’ll feel good when it’s all done but that will be my project for August because it’s time for a vacation!
